Long Biography

Martha VanderEyk, B. A. Music, has been a local soloist for over 30 years, and a voice teacher and coach for over 13 years. She has a private voice studio and currently has 25 students.  An active member of the Michigan Music Association, her students participate annually in its statewide competition.  Her students also participate in 2 recitals every year at St Cecilia Music Center, where she is a member.

Martha performs locally with the Grand Rapids Women’s Chorus, directs the chorus’s small ensemble and is a member of the Music Selection Committee.  To increase the skill level and sound quality of the chorus Martha provides 6-7 hours per month of complimentary lessons to individual members of the Grand Rapids Women’s Chorus.

Martha has performed as choir member, soloist and recitalist at St. Cecilia, First Church of Christ Scientist, Fountain Street Church, with the Chamber Choir, Cantata Choir, Grand Rapids Civic Ballet, The Kalamazoo Oratorio Society and with members of the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra.
