Gabrielle Calkins came back to choral singing after several years off by joining the Chorus in its 2000-2001 season. Realizing quickly that the GRWC makes a unique offering to West Michigan, she joined the Board in her second season, and became Board Chair in her third. Drawing on her professional experience as a facilitator and trainer of business processes, her approach is to help the Chorus realize its vision as a non-profit arts organization by leveraging the evolving skill set of Board members, singers, and volunteers through continuous, collaborative efforts. She is passionate about keeping the Chorus true to itself through both the preservation and evolution of its culture and purpose.
