In 2005, the Chorus created a Memorial Fund, with an intent to use contributions to this fund to pay for a commissioned piece of music. The fund honors friends and family in memoriam, and was expanded to include beloved pets when donations were sent in their name after the fund was established.
The first commissioned piece will be introduced at our annual concert in May, 2009. As contributions are received, honorees will be listed here. In addition, these names will be listed in our newsletters and our spring concert program so we can continue to honor their memory and their importance in our lives.
New music will continue to be commissioned from this fund as we receive donations in the name of friends and family of the chorus.
